Eligibility/Qualification

  • A master’s degree (or equivalent) in areas such as HCI, Interaction or Industrial Design, Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related technical fields.
  • Experience with AI techniques (e.g., machine learning, deep learning).
  • Knowledge of system architecture, building toolkits, technical prototypes.
  • Familiarity with research methodologies and academic writing.
  • Strong communication skills in English (C1 level).

Description

This PhD position aims to develop a toolkit tailored for collocated collaboration. The research will analyze voice communication and spatial positioning in real-time, utilizing depth cameras, location trackers, and audio interfaces to collect and process multimodal data. The anticipated outcomes include innovative conceptual models for spatial AI within collaborative contexts and the creation of open-source toolkits that translate this collaboration into intuitive, interactive representations. The position provides a unique opportunity to engage with interdisciplinary teams and contribute to societal challenges like health, education, and the future of work.
