Eligibility/Qualification
- Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Strong background in NLP, Machine Learning, or Explainable AI (XAI).
- Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) and NLP libraries (e.g., Hugging Face, spaCy).
- Interest in legal AI, regulatory compliance, and explainability.
- Programming skills (Python preferred) and experience with large-scale text processing.
- Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus but not required.
Description
The selected candidate will engage in research aimed at developing AI-driven methods for identifying and explaining regulatory “grey areas” in Dutch regulatory texts. Responsibilities include:
- Developing and fine-tuning Natural Language Inference (NLI) models.
- Designing and implementing Explainable AI techniques for compliance decision-making.
- Collecting and analyzing data from regulatory bodies.
- Conducting experiments to validate AI models on real-world cases in various sectors.
- Collaborating with domain experts to ensure practical relevance.
- Publishing research findings in esteemed AI and NLP conferences and journals.
- Contributing to project meetings and to open-source tools and datasets for compliance checking.
