Eligibility/Qualification

  • Education: Master’s degree in bioinformatics or a relevant field.
  • Experience: Strong bioinformatics skills with hands-on experience in analyzing single-cell RNA-sequencing datasets in an academic setting.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Python/R, Nextflow, and high-performance computing; experience in bioinformatics, machine learning, and network-based analysis.
  • Attributes: Highly collaborative, strong communicator, creative problem solver, and able to contribute intellectually to various projects.

Job Description

The Bioinformatician will:

  • Integrate multi-omics data (RNA-seq, single-cell, and spatial transcriptomics) to identify biomarkers, therapeutic targets, and key drivers of pancreatic cancer.
  • Analyze transcriptomic data using standard pipelines and in-house methods, including RECODR: Graph Network NLP approach.
  • Assist researchers by providing support in data analysis and developing novel solutions to experimental and analytical problems.
  • Train other group members in the use of bioinformatics software.
  • Contribute to creative thinking and problem-solving within the research group.
