Eligibility / Qualification
- A Master’s degree in Scientific Computing, Computational Fluid Dynamics, or equivalent.
- Interest in programming.
- Experience in numerical methods for compressible flows and knowledge of compiled languages (C++, C, Fortran) is a plus.
Description
This PhD position involves developing new numerical methods to compute complex multiphase flows characterized by their multiscale nature. The candidate will work on various tasks, including:
- Creating a code for ab-initio one-dimensional multiphase computations.
- Developing one-dimensional and multi-dimensional two-phase models using stochastic approaches.
- Implementing and validating numerical methods.
- Benchmarking methods against test cases related to interface instabilities and multiscale flows.
