Research Fellow in Epidemiology and Modelling: The UCL Division of Psychiatry is seeking a talented scientist to join the Whitehall II research group as a Research Fellow in Epidemiology and Modelling. The successful candidate will work on a Wellcome-funded project investigating the effects of air pollution on dementia using data from a longitudinal cohort study.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • A PhD in epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related quantitative discipline, or equivalent research experience.
  • Strong quantitative skills and excellent statistical programming skills in R, Stata, or similar languages.
  • Experience in analyzing large cohort datasets and longitudinal data in aging or environmental epidemiology is desirable.

Job Description

  • Work primarily with data from the Whitehall II longitudinal cohort to study the impact of air pollution on dementia.
  • Analyze linked datasets combining air pollution exposures, cardiometabolic risk factors, cognition, and aging-related disease outcomes.
  • Take a lead role in research design and execution, contributing to publications.
  • Collaborate with environmental epidemiologists.
  • Full range of duties outlined in the attached job description.
