Description
The PhD candidate will work to develop advanced drivetrain models incorporating failures like pitting and spalling. The research will combine multibody and finite element modeling with data-driven approaches, creating a digital twin for diagnostics and prognostics. The project aims to bridge the gap between condition monitoring/prognostics and tribology through innovative methodologies and collaboration within an interdisciplinary network.
How to Apply
Interested candidates should submit the following documents:
- Full CV (mandatory)
- Motivation letter (mandatory)
- Full list of credits and grades of both BSc and MSc degrees (transcription to English if possible) (mandatory)
- Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, etc.) – if available
- Two reference letters – if available
- English version of MSc thesis, or of a recent publication or assignment – if available
Applications should be submitted through the online application tool at KU Leuven.
