Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, Applied Mathematics, or a related field (120 credits ECTS).
  • An academic profile that is suited to the needs of the research group and department.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
  • Minimum average grade of B on master’s degree subjects.
  • Minimum grade of B on the master’s thesis.
  • Admission to the doctoral program in Innovation for Sustainability at the Faculty of Technology, Art and Design is required within three months of employment.

Job Description:
This position is offered as a 3-year (100% research) or 4-year (75% research, 25% other career-advancing work) role. The research will focus on:

  • Formulating and implementing a multi-objective QEA to address complex, real-world optimization challenges.
  • Bridging the gap in existing QEAs designed for single optimization problems and adapting them for classical computing environments.
  • Contributing significantly to the theoretical and practical advancements in multi-objective evolutionary algorithms.

The chosen candidate is expected to complete the PhD program within the specified timeframe.
