Research Assistant (Praedoc): The Freie Universität Berlin is offering a part-time scholarship for a Research Assistant (Praedoc) to join the Terahertz Physics Group in the Department of Physics. This position focuses on studying ultrafast optically induced transport of electrons and angular momentum in novel heterostructures.

Eligibility/Qualification
- Completed university studies with a Master’s degree, preferably in physics.
- Desirable experience in at least two of the following areas:
- Femtosecond laser spectroscopy
- Solid-state physics
- Magnetism
- Spin transport
- Team spirit, endurance, and enthusiasm for new ideas and topics.
- Good English language skills.
- Master’s degree in Physics with very good grades.
- Knowledge and/or experience in solid-state physics, magnetism, or femtosecond lasers.
Job Description
The successful candidate will participate in a project aimed at understanding and maximizing the emergence of ultrafast current in highly anisotropic metals. Responsibilities include working with cutting-edge optical setups, femtosecond laser systems, analysis tools, and theoretical modeling to advance research findings.
