Research Area

Eligibility/Qualification

  • University degree equivalent to a European University Master’s degree or completed course requirements of at least 240 credit points, including 60 credit points at the second-cycle level.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Strong educational background in biophysics, biochemistry, molecular biology, or biology preferred.
  • Experience in experimental molecular biology, cell biology, and computational work is advantageous.

Description

The PhD candidate will leverage state-of-the-art methods such as cryo-electron tomography and biochemical reconstitution to explore the fundamental questions surrounding viral replication organelles. The position requires a highly motivated individual capable of working independently and collaboratively within an international research team. Emphasis will be placed on critical and creative thinking, along with excellent communication skills.
