Eligibility/Qualification
- Master’s degree in Biology, Bioscience Engineering, Biochemistry & Biotechnology, Marine and Lacustrine Science and Management, or equivalent.
- Strong interest in microbiology, adaptation, and genomics.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Good communication skills in English (oral and written).
- Preferred experience in programming (R, Python, bash, or similar).
Description
The candidates will conduct laboratory experiments to reveal the thermal niches of various diatom species, analyze genomes and transcriptomes, integrate experimental and genomic data, and contribute to science communication. The successful candidates will be part of a dynamic research group focused on understanding the evolutionary genetic background of climate adaptation in diatoms.
