- Engineered Living Materials: Development and characterization of living materials for the built environment.
- Social Science in Building Research: Psychological and social factors in the adoption of sustainable building practices.

Eligibility/Qualification
Post-Doctoral Researcher:
- PhD in: Materials science, wood technology, biology, biotechnology, chemical engineering, chemistry, environmental engineering, or related fields.
- Experience: Multi-scale characterization, microscopy, spectroscopy.
PhD Candidate:
- Master’s degree in: Psychology, Sociology, Data Science, or related discipline.
- Skills: Statistical software proficiency, research methodologies.
MSc Thesis Project:
- Education in: Microbiology, biotechnology, wood science, or natural sciences.
- Skills: Experience with microbiological techniques and spectroscopy.
Job Description
Post-Doctoral Researcher:
- Lead research on engineered living materials utilizing biomimetics for innovative applications in sustainable construction.
- Collaborate on existing projects, prepare proposals, and support graduate student supervision.
PhD Candidate:
- Conduct research on social attitudes towards sustainable building practices, analyze decision-making frameworks, and disseminate findings through publications.
MSc Thesis Project:
- Develop assays for fungal biomineralisation and investigate organic-inorganic hybrid materials using advanced characterization techniques.
