Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Education: PhD in relevant fields such as biochemical engineering, bioprocess technology, or applied data science.
  • Experience: Strong background in process modelling (mechanistic, statistical, hybrid models) and optimization.
  • Skills:
  • Programming skills in Python, R, and/or MATLAB
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms
  • Familiarity with USP/DSP processes (continuous/connected)

Job Description:

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing mathematical models (mechanistic, data-driven, hybrid) to characterize production systems.
  • Designing experiments for model-based learning to support model development.
  • Performing model verification and validation activities, utilizing historical and new data.
  • Contributing as a subject matter expert to the establishment of in-silico models.
  • Identifying challenges and proposing solutions while effectively communicating insights to internal partners.
  • Collaborating with external vendors to implement innovative, model-based solutions.
