Postdoctoral Position – Scientist Dresden: The Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids in Dresden, a leading international research institute of the Max Planck Society (MPG), is seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d) to work in the Department of Topological Quantum Chemistry.

Eligibility/Qualification
- Completed university degree and PhD in the field of physics and materials science
- Ability to work in a team and at an interdisciplinary level
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- In-depth knowledge in quantum condensed matter physics, with an emphasis on band topology
- Hands-on experience in ARPES (Angle-Resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy) is mandatory
- Experience in laser light source is preferred
Job Description
- Discovering new topological materials (insulators, semimetals, superconductors)
- Carrying out photoemission experiments in synchrotron beamlines
- Maintenance of the in-house ARPES system
- Analysis and summarization of experimental results
- Presentation of experimental discoveries in scientific journals and international conferences
- Collaboration with PhD students and research technicians
