Eligibility/Qualification
- University degree (M.Sc., diploma, or equivalent) in materials science, engineering sciences, or physics.
- Experience in at least one of the following methods: X-ray imaging, transmission electron microscopy, and/or atom probe tomography.
- Proficiency in image processing.
- Programming experience with Python or Matlab is highly desired.
- Strong team spirit with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Willingness to travel between research centers.
Job Description
You will be responsible for:
- Developing experimental protocols for imaging Mg-LPSO alloys that have undergone degradation in a physiological environment using high-resolution X-ray nanotomography.
- Localizing and preparing regions of interest for analysis with high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and atom probe tomography.
- Conducting high-resolution transmission electron microscopy experiments and atom probe tomography.
- Applying deep learning algorithms to correlate and analyze experimental data.
The role predominantly takes place in Hamburg.
