Research Area

Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in microbiology, microbial ecology, bioinformatics, or other relevant fields

- Experience with ‘omics data types and strategies
- Fluency in UNIX terminal environment and managing large datasets
- Good command of English (approximately CEFR level C1)
Job Description
- Develop workflows to recover plasmids from marine metagenomes and organize them into plasmid systems.
- Compare plasmid genomes from marine systems and other biomes.
- Identify auxiliary metabolic genes within plasmids and assess their contribution to microbial metabolism and environmental responses.
- Engage with a diverse group of international scientists and contribute to a collaborative research environment.
