Eligibility / Qualifications:
- A strong background in biology, genetics, or related fields
- Excellent command of English (writing and presenting)
- Enthusiastic, collaborative, and willing to work in an international network
- Previous experience with Drosophila is an asset but not required
Job Description:
The successful PhD candidate will:
- Study neural tumors in Drosophila melanogaster
- Receive training in Drosophila handling, immunohistochemistry, confocal microscopy, genomics (bulk and single-cell), and bioinformatics
- Help develop and implement RNA-FISH protocols
- Engage with cutting-edge research techniques and collaborative partners across Europe
- Present at international conferences and visit partner laboratories
- Receive support in applying for personal fellowships
