Eligibility/Qualifications:

  • PhD in molecular biology, biophysics, nanotechnology, or a related field.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Proven capability for independent thinking, experimental design, and data analysis.
  • Relevant first-author papers or submitted manuscripts in recognized journals.
  • Experience with protein production in mammalian cell culture, purification, and biophysical characterization is advantageous.

Job Description:

The postdoctoral researcher will:

  • Incorporate donor and acceptor labels into target proteins using genetic code expansion and peptide tags.
  • Collect single-molecule FRET data and integrate it with atomic models to analyze conformational changes in proteins.
  • Collaborate closely with a PhD student and experts in complement biology, integrin biology, and single-molecule spectroscopy.
  • Participate in projects involving significant cryo-EM structures to facilitate experimental design.
