Eligibility/Qualification

  • Degree: Master’s degree in:
  • Materials Science and Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Nanoscience and Nanoengineering
  • Applied Physics
  • Research Experience: Relevant work experience in material processing, characterization, electrical instrumentation, or microfabrication.
  • Skills:
  • Strong background in experimental and theoretical research.
  • Hands-on attitude with a keen interest in inorganic material characterization.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
  • Language Proficiency:
  • IELTS: Minimum 7 (no subscore below 6.5)
  • TOEFL: Minimum 94 (no subscore below 22)

Job Description

The PhD candidate will:

  • Produce thermoelectric powder alloys and formulate printable slurries/pastes.
  • Develop sintering and patterning processes on flexible substrates using selective laser exposure.
  • Measure and analyze properties of thermoelectric materials such as charge carrier concentration and thermal conductivity.
  • Characterize powder and film morphology using techniques like SEM/EDS, TEM, XRD, ICP-OES, and EBSD.
  • Explore the correlation between material properties and device performance.
