Eligibility/Qualification

  • Completed PhD degree or a foreign degree deemed equivalent in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or a relevant field.
  • Documented experience with the synthesis and purification of organic/inorganic/hybrid semiconductors, particularly with nanoparticles or quantum dots.
  • Experience in material characterization techniques such as atomic force microscopy, X-ray diffraction, vibrational spectroscopy, and electron microscopy.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Meriting Qualifications

  • Skills in the production or characterization of optoelectronic devices (e.g., spin coating, physical vapor deposition, or spray coating) will be an advantage.

Description

The research project titled “Synthesis and Functionalization of Carbon Dots from Biomass” involves the design, synthesis, and characterization of environmentally friendly luminescent materials derived from biomass. The aim is to apply these materials in light-emitting devices, bioimaging, and explore their applications in various fields through interdisciplinary collaboration.
