The successful candidate will be part of a vibrant and dynamic research group under Dr. Andreas M. Küffner. The project focuses on hydrogenotrophic methanogens and their unique enzymatic pathways, particularly evolving a promiscuous hydrogenase for high stereospecificity to produce renewable organics.
