Eligibility/Qualification
- Nationals of ICGEB Member States
- Must be registered for a PhD or have obtained a PhD within the last 5 years
- MSc holders can also apply
- Active scientific work in a research institution
- Preference for early-stage researchers
Description
The ICGEB SMART Fellowships are designed to encourage mobility among researchers, enabling them to spend between 3 to 9 months in another ICGEB Member State. The fellowship covers travel, health insurance, and monthly sustenance along with a bench fee for research-related expenses. Importantly, applicants are required to demonstrate how the collaboration will impact their career, the home lab, and the research undertaken.
How to Apply
- Complete the online application available at the ICGEB fellowship portal.
- Upload the following documents:
- Full CV of the applicant
- Full CV of the Head of the Receiving Laboratory (including publication list)
- A valid identification document (passport or identity card)
- Collaborate with supervisors from both the home and receiving laboratories to draft a research project proposal.
Note: Ensure both laboratories complete the necessary confirmations within the application timeline.
