Eligibility/Qualification
- Have, or be about to obtain, a PhD in immunology or a relevant field.
- Extensive theoretical and practical knowledge in immunology-focused laboratory research.
- Experience with molecular biology techniques (single-cell sequencing, spatial transcriptomics), bioinformatics, in vivo models, in vitro culture systems, and/or flow cytometry is preferred.
Job Description
The Research Associate will work within the Division of Immunology, Immunity to Infection, and Respiratory Medicine, focusing on unraveling how lung-infiltrating B cells contribute to chronic lung diseases such as COPD. Responsibilities include:
- Utilizing a combination of tissue and blood samples from patients and controls.
- Employing cutting-edge technologies to investigate B cell interactions with the lung microenvironment, alteration of the extracellular matrix, and promotion of tissue inflammation.
- Collaborating in a creative and inclusive environment at the Lydia Becker Institute of Immunology and Inflammation.
