Eligibility/Qualification

  • Recent MSc (or close to graduating) in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Knowledge and experience in bone mechanics, finite element analyses, programming, and experimental testing are highly advantageous
  • Fluency in English with strong communication skills is mandatory

Job Description

As a PhD researcher, you will:

  • Focus on quantifying fracture stability using image-based finite element analysis
  • Develop and implement workflows from CT scans to digital twins to assess fracture stability under physiological loading
  • Incorporate patient-specific data and perform uncertainty analyses to create a clinically meaningful fracture stability score
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including radiologists, trauma surgeons, and experts in biomechanics and medical imaging
