🎯 Eligibility/Qualification
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Photonics, or related field
- Also Considered: Exceptional Bachelor’s graduates with strong technical skills in optics and electromagnetics
- Strong background or experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable:
- Metamaterials or Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) design
- Cleanroom fabrication (lithography, deposition, etching)
- Optical testing, nanophotonics, or quantum optics
- Electromagnetic theory and optical simulations
🛠️ Job Description
- Conduct cutting-edge research in metamaterials, nanophotonics, and PICs
- Design and simulate waveguide structures and photonic devices
- Participate in cleanroom-based fabrication and nanofabrication techniques
- Perform optical testing and contribute to quantum sensing applications
- Collaborate within a dynamic, interdisciplinary research group at UNC Charlotte
