Eligibility/Qualification:
- Holds a PhD or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Relevant research experience is highly desirable, particularly in:
- Structural and property analysis of carbonaceous and silica nanoparticles
- Chemical modification of nanoparticles
- Rubber compounding, mixing, and performance testing
- Strong command of English (both written and spoken).
Job Description:
The project aims to:
- Functionalize carbon nanotubes with chemical groups to enhance interaction with silica fillers and rubber polymers.
- Develop a CNT-silica hybrid filler through pre-reaction processes before compounding with rubber.
- Evaluate the influence of functionalized CNTs on rubber properties and focus on increasing rubber stiffness (M300) while minimizing impacts on hysteresis and hardness.
