Postdoc Position – Improvement of In-Rubber: We are seeking a highly motivated researcher for a one-year full-time postdoctoral position focused on enhancing in-rubber performance through the use of carbon nanotubes (CNTs). Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Holds a PhD or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Relevant research experience is highly desirable, particularly in:
  • Structural and property analysis of carbonaceous and silica nanoparticles
  • Chemical modification of nanoparticles
  • Rubber compounding, mixing, and performance testing
  • Strong command of English (both written and spoken).

Job Description:
The project aims to:

  • Functionalize carbon nanotubes with chemical groups to enhance interaction with silica fillers and rubber polymers.
  • Develop a CNT-silica hybrid filler through pre-reaction processes before compounding with rubber.
  • Evaluate the influence of functionalized CNTs on rubber properties and focus on increasing rubber stiffness (M300) while minimizing impacts on hysteresis and hardness.
