PhD and Postdoc Positions in Dynamical Systems: The research group at NTU Singapore’s School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences is seeking candidates for multiple PhD and postdoctoral positions. Eligibility/Qualification:

Position TypeQualifications
PhD– Bachelor’s degree (or above) in Mathematics/Computer Science/Statistics or related fields.
– Strong background in Probability and Statistics with relevant coursework and projects.
Postdoc– PhD in Mathematics/Computer Science/Statistics or related fields.
– Strong research background in statistical learning problems with publications.
– Knowledge of MATLAB, R, Python, or similar languages.

Job Description:

PhD Positions:

  • Duration: Typically 4 years
  • Focus: Deriving efficient algorithms with provable statistical guarantees.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of topics such as optimization, probability theory, and approximation theory.

Postdoc Positions:

  • Duration: 2 years
  • Focus: Research on robust statistics and statistical problems on networks (e.g., clustering, ranking).
  • Skills: Research work with a strong theoretical component in statistical learning.
