Eligibility/Qualification
- An M.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science/Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields.
- Experience in writing and presenting academic research, including peer-reviewed journal/conference papers or an M.S. thesis.
- Strong programming skills in languages/environments such as CPLEX, GAMS, Gurobi, AMPL, Python, R, MATLAB, or AnyLogic.
- A solid understanding of stochastic optimization or simulation methods.
Job Description
The Ph.D. student will contribute to research projects within the SSRS Lab, focusing on developing methods and tools for large-scale stochastic optimization and simulation. Responsibilities will include conducting literature reviews, performing simulations, analyzing data, and disseminating research findings through publications and presentations.
