PhD Position in Mechanobiology, University Hospital Jena, Germany

Postdoc in Germany

PhD Position in Mechanobiology: The University Hospital Jena is inviting applications for a PhD position focused on mechanobiological interactions between parasites and host cells, as part of the DFG-funded research program “Physics of Parasitism” (SPP 2332). This project aims to develop innovative models to understand pathogenic effects of mechanical forces in worm infections.

PhD Position in Mechanobiology of Parasitic Interactions

Designation

PhD Candidate (m/f/d) in Mechanobiology of Parasitic Interactions

Research Area

  • Mechanobiology
  • Parasitology
  • Molecular Biology
  • Cell Biology

Location

University Hospital Jena, Germany

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Completed scientific university degree (Master’s or Diploma) in Life Sciences, Biophysics, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related fields.
  • Interest in parasitological research, cell biology, and biophysics.
  • Experience in cell culture, fluorescence microscopy, and/or microfluidic techniques is desirable.
