Research Area

The project focuses on the development of small molecule therapeutics targeting intracellular bacteria and enhancing the immune response against mycobacterial infections.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • BSc in fields such as synthetic chemistry, biochemistry, or cell/molecular biology.
  • Honors (first class) or MSc degree in Chemistry, Pharmacology, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • Essential Experience:
  • Synthetic/medicinal chemistry (small molecule).
  • Preferred Experience:
  • Chemical biology/pharmacology.
  • Proteomics/lipidomics.
  • Mammalian cell culture and assay development.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and excellent command of English.

Job Description

  • Conduct independent research involving experimental planning, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Contribute to lab meetings, discussions, and external conferences.
  • Write and publish research manuscripts and grant applications.
  • Supervise BSc and MSc internship projects.
  • Assist in teaching laboratory classes.
  • Complete PhD thesis within 4 years.
