Research Area
The project focuses on the development of small molecule therapeutics targeting intracellular bacteria and enhancing the immune response against mycobacterial infections.
Eligibility/Qualification
- BSc in fields such as synthetic chemistry, biochemistry, or cell/molecular biology.
- Honors (first class) or MSc degree in Chemistry, Pharmacology, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Essential Experience:
- Synthetic/medicinal chemistry (small molecule).
- Preferred Experience:
- Chemical biology/pharmacology.
- Proteomics/lipidomics.
- Mammalian cell culture and assay development.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and excellent command of English.
Job Description
- Conduct independent research involving experimental planning, data analysis, and reporting.
- Contribute to lab meetings, discussions, and external conferences.
- Write and publish research manuscripts and grant applications.
- Supervise BSc and MSc internship projects.
- Assist in teaching laboratory classes.
- Complete PhD thesis within 4 years.
