Job Description
The project aims to characterize the functional relevance of progenitor-to-tumor cell niche transitions, specifically in the esophageal epithelium. The successful candidate will investigate changes in local cell-cell networks during early esophageal epithelial transformation, utilizing mouse models, organoid co-cultures, and spatial sequencing technologies to identify cell-cell interactions. Candidates should have a background in cell or tissue biology, and experience with mouse models, organoid cultures, and sequencing data analysis is highly desirable.
Duties:
- Investigate epithelial, stromal, and immune cell populations in esophageal tissue.
- Characterize local cell architectures during tumor initiation.
- Collaborate closely with existing lab members to push research boundaries.
Required Skills:
- Strong background in cell or tissue biology.
- Practical experience with mouse models and sequencing data analysis.
- Experience in organoid cultures and molecular biology (preferred).
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
