Eligibility/Qualification
- A relevant PhD/DPhil in bioinformatics, comparative genomics, or phylogenetics (or nearing completion).

Job Description
The primary focus of this position is to identify ancient gene families that encode membrane proteins and leverage phylogenomic methods to explore their ancestry. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting bioinformatics analyses and implementing HMM searching strategies.
- Executing extensive phylogenetic analyses, including differential rate correction.
- Collaborating within established research programmes while demonstrating a high level of specialist knowledge in the field.
