Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD in condensed matter physics, electrical engineering, quantum engineering, or a related field
  • Strong background in experimental research, preferably in low-temperature condensed matter physics or quantum physics
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken)
  • Proven ability to conduct independent and collaborative research
  • Teaching experience and supervision of students is an asset

Job Description

The primary responsibility will be to coordinate a research project in collaboration with spin qubit researchers at imec, focusing on coherent light-matter interactions in circuit quantum electrodynamics (circuit QED). Other duties include:

  • Planning and conducting world-leading research on superconducting and quantum devices
  • Publishing findings and presenting research at seminars and conferences
  • Collaborating with other researchers and students
  • Contributing to teaching a Master’s-level course on superconductivity
