Research Area
The research will focus on advanced functional materials for heterogeneous catalysis, energy conversion, and electrochemistry, utilizing state-of-the-art spectro-microscopy techniques.
Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD degree in Chemistry, Physics, or Physical Chemistry, preferably in electrochemistry, thermal catalysis, or surface science.
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
- Knowledge of surface science techniques (e.g., XPS, NEXAFS, LEED, PEEM, LEEM, TDS).
- Experience with UHV or electrochemistry experiments.
- Experience at synchrotron light sources is preferred but not required.
- Strong collaborative spirit and excellent English skills.
Job Description
The chosen candidate will:
- Conduct research in either thermal catalysis or electrocatalysis.
- Collaborate on projects within the Interface Science Department.
- Support experiments for external users at the SMART beamline.
- Innovate methodologies for measurements and analyses post initial training on the spectro-microscope.
- Engage in projects with a potential duration of one to three years.
