Eligibility/Qualification
- An excellent master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong interest and/or experience in AI research.
- Proficiency in programming with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Jax).
- Excellent oral and written English skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in scientific project work within computer science.
- Familiarity with formal mathematics.
- Skills in dataset generation and curation.
Description
The selected candidates will engage in independent research guided by Professors Yuki Asano, Christoph Hertrich, and Steffen Eger. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting research within the framework of collaborative foundation models in mathematics.
- Implementing and training large-scale models, including reasoning and multimodal LLMs.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
- Presenting research findings at international conferences and publishing high-impact journal articles.
- Contributing to teaching activities in computer science and AI.
- Participating in outreach and science communication efforts.
