Eligibility/Qualification

  • An excellent master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong interest and/or experience in AI research.
  • Proficiency in programming with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Jax).
  • Excellent oral and written English skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in scientific project work within computer science.
  • Familiarity with formal mathematics.
  • Skills in dataset generation and curation.

Description

The selected candidates will engage in independent research guided by Professors Yuki Asano, Christoph Hertrich, and Steffen Eger. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting research within the framework of collaborative foundation models in mathematics.
  • Implementing and training large-scale models, including reasoning and multimodal LLMs.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Presenting research findings at international conferences and publishing high-impact journal articles.
  • Contributing to teaching activities in computer science and AI.
  • Participating in outreach and science communication efforts.
