Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD degree in physics, signal processing, computational imaging, or a related field.
  • Interest in method development and experimental problem-solving.
  • Experience with large-scale imaging or computational image reconstruction is advantageous.
  • Willingness to engage in hands-on work at the beamline.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across disciplines.

Job Description:

  • Acquire and analyze a benchmark dataset of brain tissue supporting large-scale neuronal circuit reconstruction.
  • Design and implement acquisition strategies that maximize measurement efficiency and data quality.
  • Support the reliable operation of the LaMNI endstation, including utilizing a new high-speed detector at Swiss Light Source (SLS 2.0).
  • Contribute to prototyping and validating data processing pipelines.
  • Plan, execute, and troubleshoot beamline experiments.
