Eligibility/Qualification
- Educational Requirement: Doctoral degree in molecular biology or genetics.
- Experience: Extensive laboratory experience in biochemical methods and molecular biology.
- Skills:
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with CRISPR/Cas mutagenesis methods, microRNA biology, and protein biochemistry is meritorious.
- Ability to independently plan work and collaborate effectively within a team.
Candidates who completed their doctoral degree no later than three years prior will be prioritized, although exceptions may apply for special circumstances.
Job Description
The successful candidate will work with Stephan Wenkel’s research group on a project aimed at understanding pattern formation at the Arabidopsis shoot apex. Responsibilities include:
- Investigating the roles of transcription factors, microRNAs, and microproteins in plant development.
- Utilizing classical genetics, genome editing, and protein biochemistry methodologies.
