Eligibility/Qualification:
- A full university degree with a doctorate in chemistry, physics, or a related discipline
- Experience in (ultrafast) spectroscopy and electrochemistry
- An outstanding record of publications
- Fascination for the interdisciplinary field of Solvation Science
- Ability and willingness to collaborate with existing groups in the Cluster of Excellence RESOLV
- International experience as a postdoc is beneficial
Job Description:
The successful candidate will:
- Establish and lead a new joint RUB-MPI ECR group focused on spectroscopy at electrochemical interfaces, with a preference for ultra-fast spectroscopies.
- Aim to gain fundamental insights into electrochemical reaction kinetics and obtain quantitative information about reorientation processes in electrochemical reactions across various parameters.
- Collaborate actively with existing research groups in the Cluster of Excellence RESOLV.
- Leverage advanced research infrastructure provided by MPI SusMat and the Research Center ZEMOS (Center for Molecular Spectroscopy and Simulation of Solvent Controlled Processes).
