Job Description
The selected candidate will:
- Engage in projects related to the design and synthesis of near-infrared dyes
- Conduct advanced synthetic techniques, including:
- Small-scale work
- Inert-atmosphere synthesis
- Multi-step reaction sequences
- Chromatography
- Utilize various characterization methods, including, but not limited to:
- Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy
- Ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy
- Photoluminescence spectroscopy
- Time correlated single photon counting
- Quantum yield measurements
- Cyclic voltammetry
- X-ray crystallography
- Ensure appropriate research record-keeping and data management
- Maintain laboratory instrumentation
- Serve as a mentor and resource for junior lab members
This is a one-year appointment that may be renewed based on funding and performance.
