- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Physics or a related field.
- Experience in nanophotonics/plasmonics and single-molecule microscopy is a plus.
- Research-oriented attitude.
- Motivated to develop teaching skills and coach students.
- Fluent in spoken and written English (C1 level).
Job Description
As a PhD candidate, you will:
- Leverage novel dielectric and plasmonic metasurface designs for fluorescence sensing.
- Perform colloidal assembly of plasmonic metasurfaces and functionalize them with biomolecules.
- Quantify fluorescence enhancement mechanisms through single-molecule spectroscopy and super-resolution microscopy.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and work on state-of-the-art single-molecule microscopy systems.
