- PhD in Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering
- Proven scientific publishing experience
- Prior experience in data assimilation with ORCHIDEE or any other land-surface model (essential)
Job Description:
The successful candidate will:
- Improve the structure and parameterization of a tree-ring module that integrates growth dynamics using existing datasets.
- Assemble a global tree-ring database for model parameterization.
- Assimilate global tree-ring width and stable isotopes into the ORCHIDEE model and conduct global simulations of coupled land-climate interactions.
- Lead and contribute to scientific publications on model development, parameterization, and improved carbon cycle simulations.
