Eligibility/Qualification

  • Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biology, Biomedicine, or equivalent (minimum 240 credits, with at least 60 in advanced Bioengineering courses).
  • Proven communication skills in English (both spoken and written).
  • Highly motivated with a goal-oriented approach, and willing to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Desirable expertise in:
  • Organ-on-a-chip development and fabrication
  • Human induced pluripotent stem cell culture and differentiation
  • Craniofacial biology
  • 3D model generation with complex extracellular matrices

Job Description

The PhD candidate will:

  • Develop bioengineered models of human trigeminal pain.
  • Implement these models in organ-on-a-chip systems.
  • Collaborate closely within the team and with academic and industry partners.
  • Involve teaching or other departmental duties (up to 20% of full-time).
