Eligibility/Qualification
- Required:
- PhD in agricultural and applied economics, economics, data science, econometrics, statistics, computer science, operations research, public policy, or closely related field (candidates nearing completion may apply).
- Proficiency in R, including R shiny, and other data science tools (e.g., Git).
- Research experience with modern data-analytical tools.
- Experience or coursework connecting data science/statistics/econometrics with social sciences.
- Record of peer-reviewed publications or advanced working papers.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Preferred:
- Expertise in areas such as agricultural economics, health economics, policy analysis, or applied econometrics.
- Strong quantitative skills and experience with machine learning techniques.
- Proficiency in Stata and/or Python.
- Experience with large structured and unstructured datasets.
- Engagement experience with stakeholders.
Job Description

- Develop a robust applied research program at the intersection of data science/econometrics and social sciences.
- Produce academic and policy-relevant publications and secure external funding for research projects.
- Engage stakeholders through training, workshops, and hands-on projects.
- Advise and mentor graduate and undergraduate students, with opportunities to teach.
