  • A PhD (or be close to submission) in Organic Chemistry / Chemical Biology or a related subject.
  • Experience in conducting high-quality academic research.
  • Demonstrable ability to write and present research material suitable for highly-ranked journals and conferences.

Job Description

The Postdoctoral Research Associate will:

  • Work on a project led by Professors Patrick Steel (Chemistry) and Marc Knight (Biosciences) at Durham, in collaboration with colleagues from MLU, Halle (Germany) and Casale Spa (Switzerland).
  • Engage in the design, synthesis, and efficacy testing of new biostimulant analogues.
  • Investigate the molecular basis of activity, environmental fate, and efficient delivery methods for the active ingredients.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, publish high-quality research outputs, and assist in developing research objectives and proposals.
  • Foster a collegial and respectful working environment.
