Eligibility / Qualification

Here’s what the committee is looking for:

  • A completed PhD in Chemistry (Swedish or international equivalent).
  • Degree must be completed before the appointment decision and not more than three years old at the application deadline—older degrees may be considered in special cases.
  • Strong research background in:
    • product analysis and purification
    • polymer synthesis
    • electrocatalysis
  • Proven ability to write high-quality research articles.
  • This is a research-focused position with no formal employment contract (scholarship model).

Job Description

You’ll spend your time designing and developing cathodes built from molecular and polymer systems that can reduce CO₂ to C₁ liquid fuels. The project uses water as the only proton source and aims to improve selectivity and energy efficiency over current state-of-the-art systems.

Your work will involve:

  • organic and inorganic synthesis
  • fabricating and characterizing electrodes
  • conducting electrocatalysis experiments
  • analyzing reaction products
  • benchmarking performance against existing catalytic systems
