QualificationsA good first degree in Chemistry and a PhD (or near submission) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related subject.
Experience– Conducting high-quality academic research.
– Writing publications for highly-ranked journals.
– Presenting research at national/international conferences.
– Extensive experience in biocatalysis, molecular cloning, recombinant protein production, and enzymology.
– Experience in organic synthesis and analytical techniques (NMR, mass spectrometry).
Skills– Teamwork and communication skills.
– Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
– Excellent interpersonal skills.

Job Description

The successful applicant will:

  • Understand and convey complex material through presentations and discussions.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on research outputs to diverse audiences.
  • Publish high-quality research papers and contribute to research objectives.
  • Conduct individual and collaborative research projects under the guidance of the Principal Investigator.
  • Facilitate training in research techniques and assist in student supervision.
  • Contribute to fostering a respectful and inclusive working environment.
  • Engage in professional development and departmental citizenship activities.
