Eligibility/Qualification
- Completed Master’s degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering, technical chemistry, or relevant industrial engineering
- Knowledge of thermal process engineering, reaction engineering, and thermodynamics
- Familiarity with plant modeling and control systems
- Experience with simulation of technical systems
- Practical experience with catalysts and laboratory setups
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
- Strong analytical and methodological skills
- Independent and team-oriented work style
Description
The PhD position involves:
- Designing processes and plants for synthesizing and utilizing chemical hydrogen storage media such as ammonia and methanol.
- Integration of storage systems into industrial processes and infrastructures.
- Developing control concepts for dynamic and load-flexible plants.
- Conducting experimental support for process development from laboratory to pilot to demonstration scale.
- Analyzing and presenting results at scientific conferences and in journals.
