Research Area:

The project will explore the molecular and cellular mechanisms in the airway wall of patients with severe asthma, utilizing advanced computational analyses and single-cell transcriptomic data generation.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • A(n) (almost) completed PhD degree in a relevant discipline (computational biology, biomedical sciences)
  • Background in cellular, biochemical, and molecular analysis techniques
  • Experience in high-dimensional single-cell transcriptomic data generation and analysis
  • Strong motivation for scientific research in an interdisciplinary and international environment
  • Excellent English presentation and writing skills
  • Preferred track record in respiratory research
  • Good organizational and communication skills, being a team player

Job Description:

The successful candidate will:

  • Chart molecular mechanisms active in patients with severe asthma
  • Compare transcriptional phenotypes with experimental models
  • Collaborate with PhD students on the project
  • Engage in integrated analyses of datasets with state-of-the-art computational methods
