Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD in computer science, bioinformatics, data science, or similar disciplines focusing on machine learning or natural language processing, obtained within the last 5 years of the appointment start date.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, familiar with libraries such as PyTorch/TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, and LangChain.
  • Experience with Large Language Models and cloud computing platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and ethical considerations for medical AI.
  • Track record of research impact, including publications and presentations.
  • Commitment to cultural safety and humility.

Job Description

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will:

  • Lead the development of clinical language models and AI tools for musculoskeletal care.
  • Collaborate with patient and clinician partners to iteratively refine AI models.
  • Identify funding sources and assist in grant writing.
  • Contribute to weekly team meetings and mentor junior research team members.
  • Prepare scientific manuscripts and presentations, along with reports for health system partners.
