Research Area
The project aims to develop a sustainable all-plant-based artificial lighting solution for greenhouses by creating high-luminescent carbon dots to replace non-sustainable materials in light-emitting applications.
Eligibility/Qualification
- A completed PhD or equivalent in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Experience in synthesis and purification of organic semiconductors, nanoparticles, or quantum dots; experience with carbon dots is particularly valuable.
- Proficiency in materials characterization techniques such as NMR, mass spectrometry, X-ray diffraction, and electron microscopy.
- Good command of written and spoken English is essential.
- Additional skills in optoelectronic device fabrication or thin-film characterization are advantageous.
Job Description
The postdoctoral fellow will:
- Conduct research on the design, synthesis, and characterization of sustainable luminescent carbon dots.
- Collaborate with other researchers on the application of these nanomaterials in light-emitting devices.
- Generate reports summarizing research activities and progress.
How to Apply
Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their application through our electronic recruitment system Varbi, including:
- A cover letter summarizing motivations and qualifications (max. two pages).
- A detailed curriculum vitae with a publication list.
- Verified copies of doctoral degree certificate and other relevant degrees.
