Job Description:
Join the Laboratory of Computational Biology and contribute to a project that aims to decipher the regulatory logic of glioblastoma using single-cell multi-omics data. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will develop next-generation sequence-to-function models and design synthetic enhancers to target specific GBM cell states.
Responsibilities:
- Model Development: Build and train advanced deep learning models (e.g., CNNs, Transformers) for genomic analysis.
- Synthetic Design: Create programmable synthetic enhancers.
- Data Integration: Utilize pan-cancer single-cell atlases and spatial transcriptomics to explore gene regulatory dynamics.
- Explainable AI (XAI): Ensure models offer mechanistic biological insights.
- Collaboration: Work with a multi-disciplinary team and engage with academic collaborators.
How to Apply:
Interested candidates should complete the online application procedure via the VIB website and include:
- A detailed CV
- A motivation letter emphasizing interest in glioblastoma and deep learning
- Two reference letters
